It is important that we are able to evidence those organisations that are becoming more dementia friendly. Our aim as the B&NES dementia action alliance is to be able to make areas within B&NES dementia friendly.
In order to do this we need to know what organisations, groups or businesses are making a difference, and we want to tell those living with dementia and their carers the places that are dementia friendly. We therefore want all groups and organisations and businesses to sign up and make 3 pledges to say what they are doing.
This could be that they re educating their staff about dementia using the free dementia friends sessions or making small changes to their premises or processes. It is quick and easy to apply with no costs involved. If you would like us to visit you and advise on potential actions you could take to become dementia friendly then please get in touch or simply apply for membership
