Living well with dementia
Receiving a diagnosis of dementia can be hugely daunting and we appreciate it will have a big impact on your life. We believe however that it is possible to live well and independently with dementia if you have the right support and assistance.
Living with dementia does not mean a person has to stop doing everyday tasks, and in particular it is important to continue to do things you enjoy in life. It is a good idea to write down those things you wish to continue to do so others can help if you forget in the future.
We have designed this website so that you can choose the support you require from the list of support services.
You can also choose activities you would like to get involved in. If there is an activity you would like to do that is not included please get in touch and we will do our best to help. You can also check organisations that are trying to become more dementia friendly. See the section on reminiscence, or technology for technological aids that may help.
It is easy to feel isolated and alone, so we want to help you to stay positive and stimulated. If you would like any help or guidance please contact us.
